MSIG Vietnam Stands Alongside the “For the Poor” Fund: Spreading Compassion, Strengthening Communities

Recently, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (“VFF”), MSIG Vietnam visited and presented a contribution to the “For the Poor” Fund. This ongoing activity is part of the Company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, reaffirming its long-term commitment to standing alongside social welfare initiatives and supporting communities.

The MSIG Vietnam delegation was led by Mr. Shimizu Makoto – Deputy General Director, and included Ms. Nguyen Thu Hau – Chairwoman of the Trade Union, and Ms. Nguyen Hong Chi – Head of Corporate Planning Division. Representing the Central Committee of the VFF were Mr. Vu Chi Hoa – Deputy  of the Social Work Team (the standing agency of the Central “Fund for the Poor” Fund Mobilization Committee), and Ms. Chung Phuong Anh, Officer of the Social Work Team.

 

During the handover ceremony, representatives of the Standing Office of the Central "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to MSIG Vietnam for standing alongside social welfare initiatives through its contributions to the "For the Poor" Fund. The Fund is built on voluntary contributions from organizations, businesses, and individuals to provide assistance to people living in poverty and those facing difficult circumstances across the country.

Each year, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front launches the annual "Fund for the Poor" Mobilization Month to mobilize social resources in support of disadvantaged communities. Funds received through the campaign are prioritized to assist people living in poverty, poor households, and those facing exceptional hardship, guided by the principle of "leaving no one behind."

 

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Shimizu Makoto shared: “Through our collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the ‘For the Poor’ Fund, we hope to make meaningful contributions to social welfare efforts by ensuring that assistance reaches the right people at the right time, while creating lasting positive impact for the community.”

Representatives of the Social Affairs Department also emphasized that the collective efforts of the business community, including MSIG Vietnam, not only provide meaningful material support but also reflect a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, helping to spread humanitarian values and improve the quality of life of people facing difficult circumstances.

During the meeting, MSIG Vietnam also expressed its aspiration to participate more directly in community support initiatives in localities affected by natural disasters or facing exceptional hardship in the future. Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed their readiness to coordinate with local authorities and Vietnam Fatherland Front committees at all levels to assess actual needs and stand alongside the Company in implementing community support programmes.

Through this ongoing activity, MSIG Vietnam once again reaffirms its business philosophy of advancing sustainable development through responsible action: "Protecting Goals – Powering Future." These meaningful actions are not only a reflection of the Company's corporate responsibility but also a source of pride for everyone at MSIG Vietnam, contributing to the promotion of humanitarian values and helping build a better future for communities.
